Stomach Disorders: the stomach is a large, bean-shaped, hollow, muscular organ that fills with food that comes through the esophagus from the mouth. The stomach secretes acid and enzymes that break down (digest) the food into smaller particles. The stomach can become irritated, develop ulcers, become obstructed, and develop tumors.
