Nocardiopsis (no-kahr″de-opĀ“sis) a genus of gram-positive, aerobic soil bacteria; they resemble Nocardia but differ in cell wall type and are not resistant to lysozymes. They are potential pathogens, causing abscesses and pulmonary lesions.
