Kallmann syndrome (kahl´mahn) a type of hypogonadotropic hypogonadism caused by failure of fetal gonadotropin-releasing hormone neurons to migrate to the thalamus, usually associated with anosmia or hyposmia. It is usually passed by autosomal recessive inheritance, and some cases are x-linked.
